Canadian Hip-Hop Artist Lampman just released raw new video for the opening track off his album “The Something Sacrifice”. Filmed in Hamilton at the Devils Punch Bowl an area with alot of urban legends in its past and it seems like the energy crawled out from the darkness for this visual. Lampman depicts waking up off of his “Death Bed” an analogy for his 2 year hiatus.
Directed by Steve Whitaker From Flick On Media he gives a cinematic feel at the beginning before Lampman finally says Aeterum Vale death latin for Farewell Forever.
“Death Bed” opens the album talking about a sacrifice, some people are too scared to start over this artist isn’t one of them. Lampman is both reclaiming his respect in the Canadian Hip-Hop Scene but is pushing his artistic boundaries to create music that dims a light onto mental instability, drug issues, celebrating death rather than grieving it, and a slew of other topics that most ego fueled rappers wouldn’t dare to speak on.
Released independently the album features Army Of The Pharaohs “Reef The Lost Cauze” and is almost produced entirely by Anno Domini Beats.
With college radio play across Ontario with the few singles Lampman released off of his Free EP “Fried Till I Die” he gave us a taste. But now we celebrate the sacrifice with a feast.
